Stream Sockweb’s Bullies are Mean EP
I was just thinking the other day, “Gee, wasn’t Werewolf, the debut full-length from father-daughter grind duo Sockweb, supposed to be out by now? Was it delayed? Did I just dream this whole thing?”
And the answer, according to Heavy Blog is Heavy, is: no! I wasn’t dreaming, and the album was delayed:
“Their debut album, Werewolf, should have seen a release by now, but a hard drive failure caused the irretrievable loss of the finished masters from Pig Destroyer’s Scott Hull. Since then, Hull has mastered the album once again, and things are now finally back on track for the debut.”
That’s both a major bummer and, for Hull especially, a major pain in the ass.
The silver lining, such as it is? The band has put out a four-song EP, Bullies are Mean, to tide all us fans over until Werewolf is finally ready to warm our hearts and rape our ears. It’s all the songs we’ve already heard, but now we can actually own it for our various digital listening devices. Also, it only costs a buck!!! Sold.
Stream Bullies are Mean below, and buy it here. Werewolf doesn’t seem to have a new official release date yet, but hopefully it will come out sooner rather than later! It features guest vocals by the great Kat Katz (Agoraphobic Nosebleed, ex-Salome).
