Exclusive Premiere: Protest the Hero, “Clarity”

Finally, here it is: the fruits of Protest the Hero’s record-breaking, history-making crowd-funding campaign! MetalSucks readers were instrumental in helping PtH achieve their goal, so the band has been kind enough to grant us exclusive access to stream “Clarity,” the very first track to be heard from their new album Volition, out on October 29th via Razor & Tie.

“Clarity” is as focused and tight a song as Protest have ever written. It’s got an incredibly catchy hook (it’s like we always say: songs, people, songs!), yet it’s unmistakably Protest the Hero, and, at over five-and-a-half minutes, the band hasn’t sacrificed any of their penchant for the progressive. Simply put, it’s everything any Protest the Hero fan could want in a new song.
