Stray From the Path Fly Their “False Flag” (Minus the Rage)

Though we’re big fans of the fact that Stray From the Path have been wearing their Rage Against the Machine influence on their collective sleeve of late, the band’s new song “False Flag” sounds a whole lot less RATM-y than the previous single they released, “Badge & A Bullet.” And that sorta bums me out. Rage haven’t released any new music in, what — over a decade now? — and, miraculously, no band before Stray From the Path has — to put it lightly — taken a page from their book, so I’ve kinda come to count on Stray to deliver that aggro Rage fix. “False Flag” still has a hella catchy hook, though, which hopefully bodes well for the band’s new album Anonymous, set to come out on September 17th via Sumerian (order here).
