Release of Behemoth’s The Satanist Delayed ‘Til 2014
Well, it’s likely some space just cleared up on your 2013 year-end list: Behemoth have delayed the release of their new album, The Satanist, to 2014. The band’s official announcement gives no clues as to the cause of the delay; at first glance I thought I saw the word “polish,” as in “they wanna give the album another polish,” but then I realized the word was actually “Polish,” as in “Polish extreme metal masters.” The brain does weird things when your morning coffee hasn’t kicked-in yet.
So, this could be because of Inferno’s recent health issues, although I doubt it, because he recorded his drums months ago. It could also be a marketing decision, either brought about by Inferno’s inability to tour right now, or by other businessy shit you don’t really care about. It’s also possible that The Ghost of Dio visited Nergal in a dream and told him to sit on it for awhile. Who knows.
