Dark Tranquillity’s Video for “Uniformity” Will Have You Seeing Double Dark Tranquillity’s Video for “Uniformity” Will Have You Seeing Double
The good news is, Dark Tranquillity’s new video is also for a new song we haven’t heard before, “Uniformity.” The bad news is, the video itself isn’t that interesting. It was directed by Patric Ullaeus, and to his credit, it’s not just some, like, extra-extra moronic Michael Bay movie (Michael Bay movies already being extra moronic). Less to his credit, it seems like his only real idea for how to make the performance footage interesting was to use a lot of double exposures (or I guess a digital effect that creates the illusion of double exposures), which, I suspect, is supposed to contrast with the title of the song. Creativity!
“Uniformity” will appear on Dark Tranquillity’s new album, Construct, which comes out May 28 on Century. MetalSucks premiered another new song, “The Science of Noise,” last month.
