Deftones’ Bassist Chi Cheng Dies at 42

Deftones’ bassist Chi Cheng has died following the horrific car crash that left him in a coma for over four years, the Sacramento Bee reports. Cheng had recently been allowed to continue his recovery at home after showing some signs of improvement — including the ability to move his leg when commanded from a “semi-conscious” state — but was rushed to a hospital when his heart stopped on early Saturday morning.
