Metallica Will Pin Your Balls

I love a good game of pinball. So for once, I have nothing very little negative to say about a Metallica-related product: the band has announced via the below video that they’re working on their own pinball game with a company called Stern Pinball, which is a pretty funny name if you don’t know that the word “stearn” has an “a” in it.

I don’t know what this is going to cost, but as far as I can tell from the Stern Pinball website, most of their games are priced in the same general vicinity. I’m not suggesting you should seriously spend $6k on this (although if ya got it, flaunt it I guess), but at least they’re not jacking up the price just for having Metallica’s logo on it.

So my only real qualm with this thing is this: I bet there’s no way to prevent it from playing “Fuel” and “The End of the Line.” Still, they have by and large managed to avoid including anything from their latter-day, poop-filled catalog.

And look, I managed to get through that entire post without making any jokes about how Lars Ulrich will need to stand on a phonebook to play this game. Oh wait.
