Kalmah Tell a “Windlake Tale”

Kalmah, creators of the finest song about aquatic vengeance ever produced, are releasing a new album this summer, entitled  Seventh Swamphony, which has to be one of the stupidest album titles I’ve heard in quite some time. But I’d probably be less inclined to point out said title’s silliness if I liked the first single, “Windlake Tale,” more.

Alas, I don’t. I mean, it’s fine, but a melodeath band like Kalmah is really dependent on big, fat hooks, and after listening to this twice, I absolutely could not hum it back to you. Still, I really like Kalmah, and I choose to remain optimistic about the rest of Swamphony (for fuck’s sake, I dread having to type that title every time I wanna discuss this album) until I hear the whole thing.

And, of course, you folks never have a problem disagreeing with me. So check out “Windlake Tale” below and see if you dig it more than I do.
