The Return of Howard Jones: Ex-Killswitch Engage Singer Starts New Band with Members of All Shall Perish and Devolved?
UPDATE, 1:49 p.m.: Metal Injection has confirmed that this project is for real, that the member of All Shall Perish who is involved is lead guitarist Francesco Artusato. The band is said to be in the early stages of writing material. Original story follows.
MetalSucks readers are probably familiar with Mike Gitter by now — after all, he’s written for us in the past — but in case you don’t know who this dude is: he did A&R for Roadrunner once upon a time, where he signed, amongst other bands, Killswitch Engage, and he’s since moved on to doing both A&R for Razor & Tie, and managing bands for King Artist Management. And while this should probably be taken with a grain of salt until it’s confirmed… like I said, the guy did sign KsE, so it seems beyond plausible. From the “About Me” section of Mr. Gitter’s Facebook page:
Jones is an incredibly talented dude, and while what I’d really love to see is a reunion with Blood Has Been Shed, it would be hard to complain about him hooking up with members of Devolved and ASP, too. In any case, between this and his recent appearance at the release show for the video game Metal Gear Rising, it does seem like one way or the other, Jones is now poised for a full-scalle comeback. We’ll (obviously) give you more details as soon as they’re available.
