Unsigned and Unholy: Pomegranate Tiger, Arctic Sleep, Lago
Pomegranate Tiger play proggy instru-metal with lots of arpeggiating in major keys. If you dig Scale the Summit you’ll most likely dig these dudes. Here’s their entire new album Entities:
Arctic Sleep play dramatic, atmospheric music in the vein of Junius, Constants, And So I Watch You From Afar, Caspian, If These Could Talk, etc. The production is HUGE — gigantic drums, wall-of-guitars, fuzzed out bass — and I’m totally digging on it. You think the band is gonna be instrumental, which would’ve been fine, but when the vocals finally kick in on Track 2 of new album Arbors they’re totally awesome in a Pete Steele-gone-The Cure kinda way:
Lago play death metal. I’ll bet they love Morbid Angel and Cannibal Corpse a lot. This is a good thing. Listen:
