Shai Hulud Succeed with “A Human Failing”
Shai Hulud’s new song, “A Human Failing,” is a downtrodden, melancholy affair; it’s also one of the catchiest songs the band has ever released. Mercifully devoid of any clean vocals, it’s the kind of song that blurs the line — or maybe even illustrates the connection — between anger and sadness. It’s one of the band’s new album, Reach Beyond the Sun, and if for some reason you’re not already a Shai Hulud fan, it’s a good hopping-on point, because it’s relatively straight forward and, like I said, catchy as hell, but it also features plenty of the hallmarks that make Shai Hulud so damn good… like Matt Fox’s ever-elastic guitar.
