This is Hell Wrote An Awesome Thrash Song

This is Hell are generally thought of as a hardcore band, but it seems as though their new EP, The Enforcer, will be an ode to thrash: not only will it contain a cover of Metallica’s “Whiplash,” but the title track, which you can stream below, is pure thrash madness. Other than a brief moment around the 1:20 mark when it sounds as though the band is about to break out a breakdown, there’s really nothing “core” about this (and they don’t break out a breakdown, by the way).

And it’s GOOD thrash, too. I’ve blasted this song three times now, and I just like it more and more with each listen. Check it out:
