Bleeding Through are Through
Update, 1:37 pm: In case there was any doubt, yes, the band is calling it quits. You can read a statement by front dude Brandan Schieppati here.
Bleeding Through have announced a “final European tour” via their Facebook page, the suggestion being, duh, that they despise Europeans they’re breaking up. “Some people already think we are done,” acknowledging their lack of activity since the release of their last album, The Great Fire, a year ago.
Bleeding Through were legitimate pioneers: they had a female keyboard player back when Winds of Plague were just a sparkle in Johnny Cooke’s eye. Although there is currently no news of a final U.S. tour, I sincerely hope the band can find a way to make such a trek happen. I do not begrudge American BT fans a last chance to dance.
Let’s bow our heads and remember Bleeding Through via “Line in the Sand,” a song with an awesome 80’s hair metal power ballad solo and a gloriously un-autotuned vocal performance. And maybe someone can explain to me why those two things are different in the video than they are on the studio recording.
