Bloodbound Do It “In the Name of Metal”

Bloodbound’s new video for the song “In the Name of Metal” won me over pretty much the moment the vocalist — who goes by the name  Urban Breed (seriously) — started singing. It wasn’t really his Halford-inspired vocals that got me, though; it was his lyrics:

You say I’m evil
You say I suck
My hair’s so long
I don’t give a fuck

Add to this a kid in a spiked denim vest who uses an axe to smash his piggybank — which is black and has a skull on it, natch — and the fact that the band is performing in front of the word “metal” written in fire, and fuck yeah, I’m on board. Can someone get these dudes and Crystal Viper to do a joint U.S. tour please?

“In the Name of Metal” will appear on Bloodbound’s album of the same name, which comes out November 9 on AFM. You can also stream the new track “Metalheads Unite” right here. Hm, I’m starting to notice a recurring theme in the band’s lyrics…
