TRASH TALK UNVEIL NEW SONG, PERFORM WITH… LIL’ WAYNE
Earlier this year, Trash Talk signed with hip-hop label Odd Future Records (best press release signing announcement ever here), and since then, Metal Injection reports (via American Aftermath), the band has performed with other Odd Future (hip-hop) artists under the moniker “Trash Wang.” And they were playing one such show recently when they were joined on-stage by… Lil’ Wayne. Which is, y’know, pretty fucking weird. Here’s video:
I’m not a Lil’ Wayne fan — truth be told, if not whatever radio station they play at my local CVS, I don’t think he’d even still be on my radar — but I concur with Metal Injection’s assessment that if this puts more eyeballs on Trash Talk, it’s a good thing.
And, oh hey, what a coincidence! Trash Talk have just released a new song called “Exile on Broadway.” I don’t think it has enough vocoder to appeal to Lil’ Wayne fans, but I can dream…
