“NEW ORLEANS IS THE NEW VIETNAM”: LISTEN TO EYEHATEGOD’S FIRST NEW SONG IN EIGHT YEARS
Sludge superstars Eyehategod have released a couple of live albums and rarities in the not-so-distant past, but unless I missed something, the last time they released any honest-to-goodness new material was on a 2004 split with Cripple Bastards. Which means the release of a new song, “New Orleans is the New Vietnam,” is even more exciting than it would be under normal circumstances.
And the track doesn’t disappoint — it’s simple and catchy and bluesy and filthy-syringe dirty, the kind of song that sounds like it might give you hepatitis. I mean, just look at the artwork for the song — it’s the color of Regan from The Exorcist‘s vomit. Which is totally appropriate.
A389 is releasing the tune on a special green 7″, which you can pre-order here; in the meantime, please do stream the track below, ’cause it kicks ass.
