FUN TOUR RUMOR OF THE DAY: DETHKLOK WITH MACHINE HEAD, ALL THAT REMAINS, AND THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER
One of metal’s collective biggest bummers of the summer was when Dethklok and Lamb of God were forced to cancel their co-headlining tour (with support from friggin’ Gojira, no less!) due to the then-ongoing imprisonment of Randy Blythe. Lamb of God have since announced a new, equally-awesome tour with In Flames, Hatebreed, Hellyeah and Sylosis, and it looks like Dethklok are about to follow suit: according to The PRP, the band will headline a tour which will also feature Machine Head, All That Remains and The Black Dahlia Murder.
Obviously this should be treated as a rumor until it’s officially announce, but The PRP has been very dependable with these kinds of stories in the past, and I doubt they’d run it if they didn’t feel confident that it were true.
Of course, this tour, like the LoG trek, does have one weak spot, in the form of a certain auto-tuned metalcore band whose frontman loves guns. That being said, I still wouldn’t skip this tour — thirty or forty minutes to take a breather at a show with three other awesome bands on the bill isn’t a bad thing.
We’ll let you know as soon as this thing is official, natch.
