LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, KVELERTAK HAVE ENTERED THE STUDIO

It’s basically September, which means it’s basically 2013, which means we can now begin to get excited about next year’s releases. So this tweet from Kvelertak…

…should make you feel all tingly where your bathing suit covers. The band’s self-titled debut was my favorite album of 2010 and remains a favorite for pre-gaming before a big night out; it’s just this massive, raucous rock n’ roll record that gets my pulse pumpin’ every time I hear it. And the band are phenomenal live; they co-headlined the MetalSucks/ Metal Injection/1000 Knives CMJ showcase last year and not only blew the roof off, but shot the roof with a RPG on its way back down to the earth, shattering it into millions of tiny pieces. And that album was also produced by Converge’s Kurt Ballou, so we know they’re in good hands.

Hopefully we’ll get this thing on the earlier side of 2013, ’cause I’m already feeling the itch of impatience!
