EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: ENCRUST, “PREDATORY SKIN”

MetalSucks is proud to present Encrust, a five-piece Chicago metal band formerly known as Hunters. Despite their northerly hometown, Encrust’s music calls to mind the southern-fried riffs of Crowbar and Corrosion of Conformity with Entombed-style death n’ roll undertones. Vocalist Chris Angelucci’s bellow harkens Entombed’s Lars Göran Petrov had the latter’s balls dropped about two feet below his waistline; it’s deep, intimidating, and full of power, and the band’s meaty riffs and galloping pace provide its perfect match. You’re probably already familiar with guitarist Ryan Kasparian, but not for his music: he’s done artwork for Pig Destroyer, Morbid Angel, Veil of Maya and countless others.
