OCEANO MIGHT NOT BE DUNZO AFTER ALL
(Is this the current lineup of Oceano? Who knows and who gives a fuck?)
The lads in Oceano gave a gift to ears everywhere in January when they announced they were finally, mercifully breaking up. Their appearance at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival this coming April was to be their last ever show. Metal fans everywhere celebrated at this fantastic news with fireworks, bubbly, and unironic toasts to Dime.
But now it appears that Oceano might not be breaking up after all. Our fellow Oceano-loving sleuths over at The PRP have uncovered a couple of hints that point toward Oceano continuing their relentless assault upon good taste in the coming months:
- A newly updated version of the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival show flyer no longer makes mention of the gig being Oceano’s final show. View the old version of the poster here (note that it says “Final Show” underneath Oceano’s logo under the Friday heading). Now check out the newest version of the flyer from NEMHF’s Facebook page (note that “Final Show” has been removed).
- A May 5th show listing at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago, IL.
Yeah, so I’d say Oceano are not gonna break up. Pity. This time we’ll try not to fire any MS writers over it.
