CALL ME NO ONE (CLINT AND MORGAN FROM SEVENDUST) RELEASE FIRST SINGLE

When I interviewed Corey Lowery in November, he mentioned that his brother Clint and fellow Sevendust bandmate Morgan Rose were working on a side-project. That project, Call Me No One, recorded an album in January; today we’ve got something to show for it in the form of the first song to be released, “Biggest Fan.”

My first reaction is that Lowery’s claim that “it’s hard but it’s not the same type of heavy that Sevendust is” is dead-on; it’s clear that it’s written by the same dudes behind Sevendust, and it’s definitely on the heavy side (as opposed to Lowery’s Hello Demons… Meet Skeletons solo endeavor), but it’s not something that could ever sound at home on a Sevendust album. It’s rocky, it’s catchy, Lowery’s vocals sound really good, and his guitar solo is a scorcher.
