ALL-STAR JAMZ: SYSTEM OF A DOWN PLAY SOUNDWAVE WITH JOEY JORDISON, BEN WEINMAN
If you’re on Twitter you already know that half of all metal bands in the world were in Australia last week for Soundwave. (And if you’re not Twitter, hi! Nice to meetcha. Question: what’s it like to have grey pubes?) Apparently System of a Down also played some off-dates with The Dillinger Escape Plan, including one in Melbourne, at which they were joined on-stage by both The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Ben Weinman and Joey Jordison from Murderdolls. Not at the same time, though. I mean, the people of Melbourne can only handle so much excitement, y’know?
Anyways, here’s video of Weinman doing “Aerials” with SOAD. I know someone is gonna get really cranky about me saying this, but it’s kinda funny to see him doing what are, if we’re being honest, hardcore-style stage moves, while playing what is, technically speaking, nu-metal. That’s not a criticism, that’s just a dorky observation by a dude who spends too much time thinking about total nonsense.
After the jump, you can also watch video of Jordison playing “Suite-Pee” with the world’s premiere Armenian-American metal band. I don’t really have anything funny to say about his stage behavior though, sorry.
