SO, THOUGHTS ON FALLUJAH?

We’ve been getting a ton of reader emails about Fallujah lately. I can’t speak for any other MS writers, but I haven’t written about them until now because I really haven’t felt inspired to; they seem quite technically competent, adept enough at writing melodies, and fairly progressive in terms of song structure, all things that I usually appreciate in metal bands. They remind me of a hybrid of The Faceless and, maybe, Behemoth, or something more death metal-centric and technical like Origin. But for some reason nothing I’ve heard from Fallujah has really resonated with me. Maybe I just need more time to let it sink in, or perhaps I need to hear their new album Harvest Wombs in full to really understand what this band is all about.
