I GUESS LARS ULRICH WON’T BE WINNING THAT EMMY AFTER ALL

Oh my gosh Lars Ulrich is such a dummy. All of the actors in the above scene from the upcoming HBO biopic Hemingway & Gellhorn (in which Ulrich portrays Dutch documentarian Joris Ivens) are looking in one direction, and looking in that direction in such a way that suggests that the focus of the scene is definitely over there, but Lars is looking in the other direction. HEY, IDIOT. SOMETHING IMPORTANT IS GOING ON OVER THERE. LOOK OVER THERE.

I’m kidding, of course — I have no friggin’ clue what is happening in this scene, and I’m sure HBO would never release a promo pic in which one actor was just completely fucking up.

I’m not kidding, however, when I say that holy shit what’s wrong with Lars Ulrich’s face??? He looks like he’s indulging in “smell the fart acting.” Like, dude really, really wants you to take him seriously as an actor. But he can’t even convince anyone that he’s a decent drummer, so I dunno how we’re supposed to buy him, like, reading dialogue n’ stuff.
