LOU KOLLER FROM SICK OF IT ALL’S QUINTESSENTIAL GUIDE TO HARDCORE – DAY TEN
To celebrate the release of Sick of it All’s awesome new album, Based on a True Story, we asked SOIA vocalist Lou Koller to compile the definitive list of quintessential hardcore albums. Luckily for us and all of you, he agreed! So we’ll be running one entry a day from Lou’s list of the top-ten (+1) hardcore records of all time for the next couple of weeks. You can catch up on previous installments here; the tenth one is after the jump…
Minor Threat, Entire Discography
The band that spoke to a whole lot of generations even after they called it quits. I chose their entire discography ’cause it has it all. From their classic Out of Step album to the heart breaking Salad Days EP, the energy and passion that these guys put into their music is amazing. Something that we try to keep in mind when ever writing or recording songs. You can put them on and never have to skip a song and sing along to every one. I think it’s sad when you put on Minor Threat for some one who says they love hardcore and they’ve never heard the band. They’ve heard of them but never listen to them. WTF?!?!
Later,
Lou
