SO THAT’S WHY SO MANY PEOPLE LEAVE DUMB COMMENTS ON METALSUCKS
Australia’s ABC News reports that two researchers from the University of New South Wales have published a study which concludes “that head-banging to a typical heavy metal tempo could cause mild traumatic brain injury or concussion, and neck injury [Well duh. -Ed.], particularly as the tempo of the music and angle of movement increased.”
“Clearly it’s a serious issue,” said Associate Professor Andrew McIntosh, demonstrating little to no grasp of what actually constitutes “a serious issue.”
“If you observe people after concerts they clearly look dazed, confused and incoherent, so something must be going on and we wanted to look into it,” McIntosh continued. When asked if he’d ever heard of “beer” or “drugs,” he looked somewhat confused before declining to comment.
