IRON MAIDEN JETLINER GETTING READY FOR WORLD VOYAGE
As reported here on MetalSucks on September 6, Iron Maiden will be embarking on a world tour in 2008 in which the band will fly themselves, the crew, and over 12 tons of equipment on a custom-outfitted Boeing 757 (pictured above) — piloted by none other than the band’s legendary singer Bruce Dickinson! Dickinson, who is a credited commercial airline pilot for Astraeus Airlines and pilots flights when the band isn’t touring, will log 60,000 on the first leg of the tour which will cover 5 continents and 20 cities.
Rumor has it that the plane will first take off at 2 minutes to midnight. Ok, so kill me, that was a terrible pun… I’m feeling lazy today.
